🛠️ How it works
The planning view can be opened via the three-dot menu in the task board:
👉 Open menu > Settings > Planning View tab

You can configure the following elements:

Enable display

  • Activate the “Show Planning View” toggle

  • Displays tasks per takt as a horizontal calendar view

Set takt definition

  • Takt length: e.g., week, day, month

  • Takt start: start day of the week (e.g., Monday)

  • Number of takts: how many weeks should be displayed?

Gates and milestones

  • Add your own gates and milestones at the bottom section

  • Color coding:
    ▪️ Gates = Dark blue
    ▫️ Milestones = Gray

Visual cues in the planning view

  • âś… Checkmark icon = task is completed (moved to “Done”)

  • 🔄 Spinning circle = task is currently in control (in the active takt/week)

ℹ️ Info

  • The planning view is team-specific—each line/team can set its own configuration.

  • System administrators can set global defaults, e.g., standard takt structure.

  • Only team administrators and system administrators have access to these settings.

✨ Tips & Best Practices

  • Use the planning view for forward-looking task allocation over multiple weeks.

  • Gates & milestones help with milestone-oriented project control.

  • Keep the number of visible takts manageable (e.g., 8–10).

  • Clear takt definition = better shop floor communication!
