🚨 Creating Deviations in the Task Board

In this article, you will learn how to create deviations directly in the task board and link them to a task—ideal for quick documentation, clear responsibilities, and seamless tracking. You can do this either via drag & drop or directly in the task card.

🛠️ How it works

🔁 Drag & Drop in the task board

📍 Steps:

  1. At the top of the task board, click one of the following icons:

    • 🔵 Deviation

    • 🔺 Top Topic

    • 🔍 Go & See

    • 🔔 Feedback

  2. Drag the icon and drop it onto the desired 📋 task.

  3. When released, the input form ✍️ will automatically open.

  4. Enter the relevant information:

    • 📝 Title

    • 🗒️ Description

    • 🗂️ Category

  5. Confirm with ✅ “Create” – the deviation is immediately linked.

📝 Directly from the task card

  1. Click on a task in the board or in the list view.

  2. In the detail view, switch to the “🚨 Deviation Management” tab.

  3. Click “➕ Create new deviation.”

  4. Fill out the form 🧾:

    • 🗂️ Category

    • 📋 Type of deviation

    • ⏱️ Duration or frequency (optional)

    • Optional: “🧷 Link action”

  5. Save with ✅ “Create.”

  • 🛡️ Only users with the appropriate role can create deviations.

  • 📎 Not every deviation is always firmly linked to a task.

  • 👁️ The link remains visible in the “Deviation Management” tab.
