🔓 Activate the Team Board Templates add-on

1. Go to Administration → Templates → Team Boards

2. Check the notification banner
   If the add-on is disabled, you will see a yellow banner:
   “The add-on feature for creating custom team board templates is currently disabled.”

3. Click Contact Sales

Once activated, the + Create New Template button will be available.

➕ Create a new team board template

• Click + Create New Template

• Configure structure, views, tags, KPIs, and lists

• Save the template for future reuse

👥 Create a team based on a template

1. Go to ⚙️ Settings → Team Management

2. Click Add Team

3. (Optional) Select a parent team

4. Choose a suitable team board template

5. Enter the team name and abbreviation

6. (Optional) Add team members

7. Click Create Team

🧬 Clone a team board template

1. Go to Templates → Team Boards

2. Locate the desired template

3. Open the ⋯ context menu (top right on the template)

4. Select Clone

5. Enter a new template name in the dialog

6. (Optional) Adjust anything in the 4 steps that should differ in the clone (e.g., tags, KPIs, views)

7. Click Create to save the template

🗑️ Delete a team board template

1. Open the ⋯ context menu on the template

2. Click Delete

3. Confirm deletion in the dialog

ℹ️ Notes:

• Existing teams created from the template remain unchanged when the template is modified or deleted

• Cloned templates automatically include all relevant links

• Only system administrators can manage templates

• With the add-on disabled, only limited use of standard templates is possible

• Use clear naming conventions (e.g., SFM_Daily_EN)

• Create master templates and clone them for variations

• Use the favorites feature for rollout standardization

• Always tag the team board structure (e.g., "Quality", "Production", "Site Stuttgart")

Do teams remain after deleting a template?
→ Yes, existing teams remain – only the template is removed.

Who can create, clone, or delete templates?
→ Only system administrators with the appropriate permissions.

What is copied when cloning?
→ Views, lists, KPIs, layout, and metadata.
