📋 Weekly Topics

This article explains how to create and manage new weekly topics and what views are available. The Weekly Topics list is a core list in ValueStreamer and can be used across teams – particularly helpful for structured shopfloor meetings.

📂 Open the Weekly Topics List

  1. In the team overview, click the Weekly Topics heading.

  2. You will automatically enter the detail view.

  3. By default, the current calendar week (CW) is displayed.

  4. Use quick filters to view past (CW X-1) or upcoming weeks (CW X+1).

➕ Create a New Weekly Topic

  1. Click the “+” icon at the top right or bottom of the page.

  2. The input form will open.

  3. Enter the following details:

    • 📝 Title (required)

    • 📅 Due date (required, e.g., Monday of the CW)

    • 🕒 Time (optional)

  4. Click Save.

📊 Views and Column Overview

Column Description
✅ Checkbox For multi-selecting entries
📝 Title Name of the weekly topic
📅 Due date Date of the meeting
🕒 Time Optional time field
👤 Created by Name of the person who created the entry
📆 Created on Date of creation
🔗 Linked to Icons for Top Topic, Go&See, etc.

✨ Notes

  • The default sorting is by due date in descending chronological order.

  • When switching views (tab, section, homepage), the filter automatically resets to the current CW.

  • Weekly topics with a past date are automatically moved to the Older filter.

💡 Map recurring topics: Use weekly topics to plan regular agenda items for your shopfloor meetings in a structured way.

📆 Maintain due dates consistently: Automatic filters and counts only work correctly if due dates are accurate.

⚠️ Don’t forget missed topics: Find overdue weekly topics easily in the Older filter.

❓ FAQ

Can I create multiple weekly topics per week?
→ Yes, there is no limit. You can create as many entries as you need for a calendar week.

Why don’t I see all topics?
→ The overview displays a maximum of 5 entries per calendar week. To see all entries, switch to the detail view.

What happens to old weekly topics?
→ They are automatically moved to the Older section but remain accessible.
