✅ What does template linking mean?
With a template, you can automatically add standardized sub-processes, tasks, and checklists to a process card. This ensures a consistent project structure and eliminates the need for manual creation.

Only team administrators and system administrators can create and manage templates.

The template must already exist in the “Templates” tab of the process board.

Open or create a process card

Go to the desired process board.

Create a new card or open an existing one.
Switch to the “Template” tab

Choose an existing template and the responsible team.

Optional: Pre-assign responsible persons.
Link the template

Click “Generate Template.” The link is then fixed for this process card.

Open process board settings

In the board, click the small arrow next to the title and select “⚙️ Settings.”
Select the “Templates” tab

Create a new template

Click “+”.

Assign an abbreviation and a name.

Optional: Import content from an existing template.

Save the template

Click “Create.” The template is now available.

🔁 Behavior during phase transitions
When moving the card, a pop-up appears allowing you to select template content for the new phase.

Only content for the current phase will be suggested.

Templates can be edited later. Already linked process cards remain unchanged; changes apply only to new links.

Can I change the template after linking it?
❌ No, the selection is fixed for the current process card after clicking “Generate Template.”
✅ Changes to the template will, however, apply to new process cards.
What happens if I skip a phase?
You will be asked whether to apply template content. Skipping is possible, but no content will be loaded.
Why does no pop-up appear during a phase change?
Check whether content is defined for the new phase in the template.
