This article describes how to create and edit an Immediate Countermeasure (PDCA) in ValueStreamer to resolve a deviation. You’ll learn how to link actions, record all relevant information, and document progress – ensuring problems are solved sustainably and methodically.

🛠️ How it works

🔎 Select the deviation

  • In the “Deviation Management” tab, navigate to the deviation for which you want to create an action.

  • In the opened deviation, click the “Actions” tab, then click “+ Action.”

📝 Fill in the PDCA action
Enter the details of your action:

  • Title

  • Description

  • End date (planned)

  • Responsible person

  • Team

  • Optional: “Inform team”

📌 Track progress (PDCA)

  • Use the progress wheel to document the status of the action:

    • Plan → Do → Check → Act

  • In the “Implementation Plan” tab, you can directly add tasks. These are automatically linked to the action.

💾 Don’t forget to save

  • Click “Save” to create the action.

  • All team members can create actions in the teams where they are active.

  • An action can be edited and updated at any time.

  • Actions are always uniquely linked to a deviation.

  • 📌 Record the current status directly in the description field with timestamps and comments.

  • 📍 Document clearly for each PDCA phase – e.g., analysis in “Plan,” execution in “Do,” etc.

Can I create multiple actions for one deviation?

→ The progress is set to “Act,” and the action appears under the “Completed” filter.
